As the Institute for Justice’s Assistant Director of Communications, Shira Rawlinson works on IJ’s award-winning media team to make the case for economic liberty, free speech, private property rights, school choice and the need for judicial engagement. She has secured news coverage in various outlets nationwide including the BBC, CBS Evening News, NPR, The AP, Bloomberg News,The New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, The Economist, New York Post, National Review, Reason Magazine and National Law Journal. Before joining the Institute in 2009, Shira worked on political campaigns in California and New Mexico as well in the British House of Commons for a Member of Parliament. She currently resides in Washington, D.C.
